Title: Alimony for ex-brother-in-law to be?
Question:
My sister is currently going through a divorce and is the obvious
"breadwinner," in her family. She seeks full custody of the children, but one
attorney whose advice she sought indicated that she may have to pay alimony
to
her deadbeat husband since, although he operates his own business it is not a
profitable. Is this true in New Jersey? If so, could you recommend some
articles for me to read to prepare her for this. We are not talking about a
lot of money here, she's a teacher.
Answer:
An excellent article on NJ alimony has been done by the law firm,
Gruber & Colabella, P.A. whose web page is at
http://njdivorcelawyer.com
The article is at:

urce.com/NJ/ARTICLES/gruber8.html
You will see more and more of these type of alimony cases arising as there are
more men staying at home with the children or women who are on career tracks.
Your sister is wise in getting good legal advice so that she understands the
law that she must deal with. I hope that this helps in your search for
information.
