Title: Husband Wants Out
Question:

My husband wants a divorce and I'm concerned about a few things. I know
you're not a lawyer but since you went through a divorce yourself, I'm hoping
you can answer my questions.
I'm 41 years old and have two children, ages 4 and 8. I married at 33. When I was 25 I bought myself a single family house all by myself without the help of anyone. Does my husband have any rights to this property? He never lived there because I moved in with him when we got married.
Next question: I worked hard my whole life, I have lots of money in my 401K and I have lots of Bell Atlantic Stocks. Again, can he get any of my money. He has no savings, he makes horrible money (about 10,000 a year - if he's lucky). Why I fell in love with him, beats me, because I'm a very smart responsible young women - I thought I had my head together. And last but not least...
His dad died and left a three family home to him and his four siblings. They decided to sell the house (this is the house I've been living in since I married him), am I entitled to anything when they sell? Or should I just leave that area alone because of my home that I own.
I would appreciate it very much if you can answer these questions. I've talked to friends, no lawyers yet, about these questions and I'm getting different answers. Before I talk to a lawyer, I want to get other people opinion.

You my lady have a lot on the line. If I was you, I would be running to
the nearest "kick butt" lawyer in town with all of my information in my
hand to get his "expertise" on my particular situation.
You can get answers from a lot of people but you are wasting a lot of time by trying to get answers from people who really can't help you.
Hopefully you both won't fight tooth and nail over your assets - where you can end up paying a lot in lawyers' fees.
