Do we have to keep the same visitation schedule?

As long as the visitation schedule is adhered to the majority of the time, parents should try to be as flexible as possible. The realities of modern life can intrude upon the best-laid plans.

You both should realize that as children get older and become involved in other sorts of activities - sports, school plays, church functions - the visitation schedule may need to be changed or amended. Judges realize this and are sympathetic to it, but do not want to be petitioned for a change unless it is substantiated.

Do not use changed circumstances as an excuse to start another fight with your ex-spouse. It will do no good and may possibly negatively influence the judge on your behalf.
