The First Long Distance Trip You Take Alone
(Provided by Tomi Tuel, Author of 101 Things I Learned After My Divorce)

Taking a trip alone can be a little scary if you’ve never traveled by yourself. At times, it can even be down right lonely. It’s all about being in the right frame of mind. You have to look at it as an adventure and be open to things as they come. It can be an extremely liberating thing to do. If traveling alone makes you nervous, travel with a group. There is safety in numbers, and there are all kinds of traveling clubs you can join. You may even make some lasting friendships. If you do travel alone and are in a foreign country, it is a good idea to carry some cash on you. You never know when you might have to bribe a taxi cab driver.
