The First Time You Enjoy Your Single Status
(Provided by Tomi Tuel, Author of 101 Things I Learned After My Divorce)

Learning to be alone, and liking it, can take some time. It took me about a year before I started to enjoy being single again. When you have been with someone for years, being alone is a learned behavior and takes time getting used to. It is an extremely liberating feeling when you know you are there and don’t fear being alone. You know that you can entertain yourself and not be lonely. When I regained my inner peace and became happy again, I started doing more things alone. I knew I was friendly enough, and that if I wanted to, I could meet new people wherever I went. It gave me the courage to do even more things alone.
