What happens when an abusive man decides he is just going to stop playing support?

Some abusive men take the position that they are going to stop paying support when their history of abuse raises doubts about their parental fitness. Again, this is argument no court will accept.


No one can just stop paying child support. Courts must approve any changes in child support. Child custody and child support are two separate and distinct realms on marriage and family law. A man who fails to support his children may be jailed for nonsupport.
