Internet visitation can take many forms, but it generally involves communication via the World Wide Web, either by e-mails, real-time chats, instant messaging, or even "cam shows," which are similar to the old science fiction idea of the telephone with a viewing screen.

Obviously Internet visitation would be more appropriate for older children; infants would be unlikely to benefit from this. If Internet visitation would provide an answer for you and your children, you should investigate it.
