The Spousal Support Handbook The Spousal Support Handbook ($28.99)
Unlike child support, spousal support is often very difficult (if not impossible) to modify after the divorce is final, so getting it right the first time is a must!

I dont know what to do any more.

I just had a baby 3 weeks ago- and my husband left the day before I had him.
He also took all of our money.

I was a SAHM (I have another child) and he was the one working.

We have been married a year now.

Will I be able to get spousal support- even though we were just married a year... Since he left us- and I dont have a job and recovering from surgery.

With such a short-term marriage, it is unlikely that you will get spousal support beyond the time it takes to get the divorce. What you need to do now is file for temporary custody, temporary spousal support and child support. Until you have a court order, he doesn't have to pay anything.

I would also get statements of all the joint accounts that he took all of the money out of. If any money was put in there after the marriage, he was not entitled to take it all. And it will be addressed in the settlement process of the divorce.
