The child that will graduate at almost 20 was held back in Kindergarten. I cannot remember the other grade in which he was held back, but I do know it was her decision and not the schools. As far as the divorce decree, Arkansas is the state. This is what it says concerning support:
It is agreed by the husband to pay $250 per child per month in child support until the children reach 18 years of age. In the event that the husband has the kids for a period exceeding 30 days, the wife agrees to waive the child support during such time. In the event that either child marries, enters the military, or otherwise no longer resides in the wife's ousehld, wife agrees to waive all child support for that child, during such time.
And that is word for word.

First, I apologize for my last post, where I wasn't clear that child support ends in Arkansas when they graduate from HS, or are 20, whichever occurs first.

"It is agreed by the husband to pay $250 per child per month in child support until the children reach 18 years of age. In the event that the husband has the kids for a period exceeding 30 days, the wife agrees to waive the child support during such time. If your husband has the kids for a month or more, Arkansas does have law that allows you to have what known as an abatement for that month, BUT, the maximum is a 50% reduction.

As for the rest, a child would become emancipated if they married, or joined the military, but not neccessarily if they moved out (as in, if they moved away for college). It doesn't appear those are going to apply to you anyway.

For better or worse, child support laws override decrees. CS is also not pro-rated for a partial month, so if they graduate on June 1, 2010, you will pay up to, and for the full month of June that year.

I'm not an attorney, nor do I reside in Arkansas, I am just using past cases, and available information online. Consult with an attorney in your area to make sure you are getting correct information.
