Auto Insurance

STBX and I lived overseas for 3+years. STBX moved back 1 March and can file for a legal seperation 1 Sept according to Ca residency requirements.

STBX has supposedly cancelled my auto insurance with USAA. His name is on the title to the car that is "mine" can he legally do this without having filed for a seperation?
