how to calculate retirement

My Question is, if any one knows?

I was medically retired out 5 years ago and have calpers.
My husband says he is intilted to half of that. I am not working that is my only income.
Then he adds money to account to make it taxable income.
Its a medicall retirement i am getting and non taxable.
How is this figured when 1 spouse is retired and 1 isnt to what the other gets of the others retirement.
we both have calpers.
