I have to fill out the forms listing property, financial assets, and debts, and I am perplexed about a couple of things. My husband was given a kick-out order almost a year ago, and the children and I have returned to the family home since. Two weeks after the kick-out order, I packed an entire driveway's worth of household goods, clothing, CDs, books, some furniture, and even favorite non-perishable foods so my spouse could set up his own home (at which, once the court allowed visitation, my children would not feel uncomfortable.) Here are my questions: Does our unpaid mortgage balance on the family home (our only real estate) go on the debt form? On the assets side, do I list everything in our home, even though the only items of any value I inherited or was given as a gift. And if I am listing every blamed thing under our roof, what about all that stuff my husband picked up when he moved into his apartment, most of which was purchased with joint assets? Thanks for any clarification you can offer.
