Had a great nite with the kidos last nite on the weekly wed nite visit....THEN this afternoon stbx called saying son told daycare teacher to F''' Off. Mind you he is only 3 1/2. All she did was say it was my fault cause i had him last nite...Where did that come from? He is with her more than me and with her attitude/temper i guarantte he has heard way worse from her on more than once...And i fear it will only get worse thats the bad part..I try as hard as i can not to say stuff thats negative when in their company because i know him, expectially, is a sponge. And thats the last thing i want is them too feel or hear is any of this..........

You each want to blame the other for this. This is not going to help your son. Your response to your STBX should be, WE have a problem. What are WE going to do to address this?

I agree with KGrow, you need to address this with the ex as a "WE" problem. I had a silimar incident 2 years ago. My then 5 year old daughter called her mom a sl*t to her face(granted my ex is one), but I don't ever recall saying that word in front of my daughter. She could have heard me talking on the phone or to the neighbors, etc. It is tough but regardless of how you each feel about the other it is a "we" problem that both parties have to work on.....and correct immediately when it happens.

good luck

I actually tried to talk to her about it yesterday morning in that context. Her response was that she shouldnt have to deal with it because my son would listen better to me if i as the male would make the talk with him. I told her that was the wrong approach we both needed to do it but she just blew me off AGAIN... So last nite i did sit him down and had a chat with him. If thats they way she is going too be its going to be so hard....Again it just proves to me that all she wants is the good times with the kids and not to be bothered with anything else

Bummer that you'll probably need to be the bigger person. Continue to give her the opportunity to step up. Not now but someday she may. Keep doing right by your son.
