Temporary Stipulation

does anybody know about temporary stipulations regarding visitation?
if it says "without Prejudgedice" once you get to mediation can it be thrown out? according to my attorney this is just temporary until mediation and will not stand true in court or mediation. i just want to make sure that i am not setting myself up for something.

are temporary stipulations pretty common?
