Is the support based on need or is the person paying the child support stuck with the court recommended amount (at the time of the divorce) until the kids are of age? Maybe someone (you) can answer another question? I've heard that if the payer of child support has the kids a certain percentage of nights above what the court set (at the time of the divorce) then the child support can be adjusted. Example: My ex has primary custody so she has the kids 2/3rds I have them 1/3. I give her roughly 1/3 of my income to make up for the extra time she has them. If I have the kids 1/2 time is that reason enough for the court to adjust the child support payment. Post Extras:       Pages: 1
