I was told by a volunteer legal office that because the mortgage is 2, going on 3 months, late (I can't afford the mortgage payment by myself)and foreclosure proceedings are imminent, I should write a letter asking the court to expedite my case. I'm filing for divorce next week and don't quite know how to word the letter. My STBX is not cooperating in any way financially, either with CS or help w/mortgage. He won't Quitclaim the house to me and hasn't decided if he will go along w/selling it either. He doesn't want the house, doesn't want me to have it either, and doesn't seem to want to cooperate w/me about anything. I want to sell the house, he says he's not sure. I need to have a decision soon before the mortgage goes into foreclosure.
