Hello, I cant Seam to find the answer to this question anywhere, So i thought someone here may be able to help me.

My Best Friend is Married to a Guy in the Air Force and Wants a Divorce after 2 Years. They Were Both Residents of SC, They Got married in SC BEFORE He Enlisted, and then He Enlisted in SC and is now Stationed in TX and has Been for the Last 1.5 Years. She Left him 1 Month Ago, Moved Back to SC, and Has since Changed her Residency Back to SC, New Drivers License, Taxes. Etc..

However Now he is Refusing to File the Divorce Papers, and She Insists that he Has to be the one to do it in Texas. Is there any Truth to this, or can She file them here in SC? If So, Would she just need to File them at a Local Air Force Base?

Any Advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!

She can file after the residency requirements have been met. "Plaintiff must have resided in SC at least one year prior to the commencement of the action." Forgot filing at the AF base since divorce is a civil matter.
