My husband made chief and decided that he does not want to be married anymore. Everything was great before then at least for me. Now he is very secretive and dissappears for days at a time without telling anyone. He swears that he is not having an affair. We have two children and have been married for eighteen years. I was military for 13 years but got out when we started having children. I have a lawyer but am not sure what is going to happen to me and the children. I am a full time student. Can someone tell me what could I expect.

Alot more details would be needed to make any kind of assessment. What does your attorney say?

My lawyer has not said a whole lot up to this point since we are just replying to the initial summomns. I am away right now and have not spoken with him. I do not like it that Montana has the no fault divorce and that it is up to the judge's discretion to award alimony. I will try to see if I can talk to the extranged husband again to make him hold on for twenty months so I can get my benefits, he is being so stupid. Anyway when I get home and visit my laywer I will post again.
