My friend married a guy in August and because of strained behavior suggested that she go back to VA for a week to clear the air. Her husband suggested that she see a lawyer and start proceedings for divorce. She left, stunned and now I'm wondering if he can technically say "she left him" ??? I'm worried about what position that puts her in regarding NC divorce laws. Please advise.

Fault grounds for divorce have been abolished in NC ( except for incurable insanity ) . The separation will have no effect .
