Custody law for Dad in PA

I should start out by saying good morning and though I find this website to be very, very helpful, its saddens me to know that soooo many people are going through/have gone through a divorce.
With that said, my question refers to the PA custody terminology with regards to the Father's rights. My wife will reside in Mount Pocono and I am forced to move to NYC (2 hour commute). We've agreed on all aspects of the divorce but I have issues with "physical custody" as it is stated that the mother has complete control in the child's day to day decisions and I have no say so. Am I taking this to an extreme and need specific wording in the documents to have a say-so in my child's everyday life (decisions of importance)?
