Hi, I'm new and decided to post this intro here since I am a Texan.

I am 31, recently graduated from college, have been married for almost 9 years, and have two kids, ages 8 and 2. I have never been happily married. We married because I was pregnant, and the early years were full of abuse. Even those things improved, I never was in love with him and got into a bad habit of lying to him about everything from how I felt to shopping. I am ready to make a fresh start and end this cycle. I have left 2x before, but he always convinced me I couldn't make it on my own, and it would start over again.

I told him for the 3rd time that I wanted out last Tuesday. He was furious at first. He wants to separate for a few weeks and then do counseling to work it out. I have gone behind his back and gotten an apartment and am moving. I'm telling him tonight that I have done this. He has already taken my half of the money, but my parents were generous and are helping me out.

I'm scared and worried! And advice, support?

HI fellow texan. Sorry your here but you have come to a very supportive and informative place. Well kinda. Although there is help on the texas side there isn't much and it's kinda for texas specific help. You'll get a lot more help from the life "life after divorce" forum here. Again glad to have you here come on over to the main stream side and give everyone a howdy.
