my husband lives in louisiana with another woman and I know that they have laws over there about adultery but i wanted to know more. Can anyone help me with this?
Louisiana is a no fault divorce state. I don't think it will make any difference whether there is adultery or not. Property is considered "community" and split 50/50 (the only state with Napoleonic law).
What state are you from? Where is your community property (or the majority of it)? Where is the marital residence. This can make a difference for where you file. I live in Louisiana, but the marriage (42 years) was in NY & most of the property is in NY, & so we are litigating in NY. T.
