Spouse went AWOL. How should I file?

I haven't seen my spouse for five years. About a couple years back, he just dropped off the radar. He didn't leave any kind of information--no address, no telephone number, no e-mail address, nothing. I don't know how to reach him. I want to start filing the paper-work necessary for a divorce, but I'm not sure where I should start. Which papers should I fill out if the other spouse isn't present?

On another tricky note: I'm working overseas in Taipei, Taiwan. I've only been in Taiwan for eight months, but I'm not sure I'm still considered a legal resident of Colorado. I lived in Colorado for well over 15 years, but did I forfeit my residency when I began to work in a different country? Because I can't file for a divorce in Colorado if I'm not considered a resident of the state.

Urggggh. This whole thing is so tricky. If anyone could offer some insight or advice, that'd be wonderful. E-mails are also welcome: pauperedpawn@yahoo.com
