is there a time limit for him to respond to papers

I am about to serve my husband with papers this week and he is out of state. Is there a time limit in which he must respond? What if he fails to respond? Thanks.

You must follow the Ohio Rules of Civil Procedure and have him legally served your petition . After he has been served , he has 30 days in which to answer it , if he doesn't you could be granted a default divorce .
