I supported my husband for most of our 11 year marriage. I just became disabled, he couldn't handle it. I am on SS disability, which as you know is hard to get, thank goodness I did, but it is only a few hundred and I have a young child. I love my husband and never believed in divorce even though he has a documented history of abusive behavior. What are my chances of receiving alimony if any? And of course the custody issue scares me to death. I have been the primary(only) caregiver, and would fall apart if I could not keep my child because of lack of income because of a disease I can't help, it does not affect my ability to care for my child.
