harrassing calls

For the past two months, I've been getting a series of collection calls for my ex. We've been divorced since 2003. I found out that since 2006 he's been giving my home phone number as his "business phone" on applications for credit cards, etc. The accounts are in his name. So far, I've received 10 calls from 5 different financial companies. Anyone have advice about how I can stop these harrassing calls without actually paying an attorney to do so?

How about simply giving each agency his correct phone number as they call. He will soon get the message.

I would put it on my answering machine. 'If you are calling for 'blank' this is not his telephone number. He no longer lives here. Please take it off of your list. And if you know his number-put it on there. I don't know if that is legal. But I bet he won't use your number anymore.
