My wife and I have been married for 4 years. Back in November, our marriage started to get rocky. We tried to work it out, but it got worse. We went to our own families' for Christmas, and I had to beg her to come back to SC. After I deployed I found out some stuff I didnt like, and decided to break it off. I am Active Duty US Air Force stationed in SC and she is Army Guard (SC). We have been separated for 8 months by the time I get back from Iraq. Can the 1 yr separated be waived or will I have to wait the full 4 months to initiate? Also, how do you prove you were separate for the year, and how do they know if you dated or not?
