I wanted to add as in my case that it was the wife that was the abuser. Emotional abuse and a few times physical. Being a guy that was ashamed of it would hide it and not let others know. After 19 years of being married I had had all I was going to take when it started being directed at our son. That was the straw that broke the camels back. For the first time in over a year my son will sleep in his own room without fear of his mom. My case might be the only one out of a thousand or more but it does happen. To all the women here that have had to deal with the abuse of what ever kind it might be. Seek help for yourself and your children so that you won't have to deal with it ever again.
