just a thought. if you don't feel as if you have enough "umph" to put into the power screwdriver, make the small investment and goto Sears, or a similar store and get wnat is sometimes called an "easy out". they are special bits designed to remove stripped screws. I have found they are equally good at really digging in to put the screw in. Just be advised, they tent to chew up the head of the screw, so be sure you are doing it right, since you'll probably only get one shot.
