Guys- just when I felt so great with my new job and my new life going well, I got fired! I thought I was doing fairly well and my eval was today. I walked in and the guy at HR says to me "Hi, my name is XXXXX and I am here to terminate you" I thought he was kidding. He sadly wasn't.
I work for the court system and only started 45 days ago and I loved it! The judge told me today that she cannot deal with imperfection and that I was being let go because of one mistake. The mistake was a doozy and I made it 2 weeks after I started. It has been corrected but she was cutthroat.
I had no warning except from the office manager telling me to be a little more careful, never ANYTHING IN WRITING.
I have never been fired and I just can't believe life is kicking me in the teeth again.
