--part of the crushing aspect of divorce is that certain things remind us of our exes and then become forbidden. Sometimes it is something old or something new.

What is a movie, TV show that you could not watch without sorrowful reminders, that you can watch again now?

What is a song you could not and now can?

For me a song I had not heard when I was with my ex, brecame a forbidden song. It crushed me at a deep level ... but recently I started being able to listen to it without her corrupting it. It is a song called "Pretty Voice" by a MPLS group called Cloud Cult. A WONDERFUL song and a GREAT group.

Some movies that hit me .... weirdly were Kill Bill vol 1 and vol 2 and Fargo. My ex loved those flicks. Anytime I watched them I remembered her reactions. Over the last few months I have watched them again, and loved them again.

Sure there are still some that have impact. Maybe they always will. But I do think the list will sink.
