My husband has been in prison for 31 months. I want a divorce and paid for an uncontested divorce but he will not sign. When I searched alabama law it says that grounds for divorce included if a spouse is in a state or federal prison for 2 years or more. I do not want to go through the lengthy and expensive proceedings of an uncontested divorce. Is there anyway around this considering the situation? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
