On the one hand, kids are adaptable and it may work just fine. What sort of schedule do you have going during the separation?

My 50-50 schedule has the kids shuttling back and forth twice a week. It's a bit more interaction with the ex than I would prefer but it is clearly what the kids prefer.

You can argue that frequent changes of venue allow the kids to establish a sense of home with both parents simultaneously. That's how it is working at chez KGrow.
