Nope. It is filed through CSE. That is a state agency. I paid a 25.00 registration fee when I enrolled (I knew who/where the father was/lived) and after the ex pays the first 500.00 per year they take out 25.00 a year for administrative fees. In order to file for a court date, ex must be three months or 1500.00 ( I think) in arears and not have made a payment in thirty days. That is in my state. Here is the link for Florida: http://home.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user It is really irritating to have to miss work to go to court only to have ex pay the minimum when the judge says... pay or go to jail. Get this... My son has a field trip to the coast... science study... and part of that is a boat ride and deep sea fishing. The cost of the field trip is 60.00 for son. Son wants dad to go (no problem from me). Ex has son ask me to pay his chaperone fee..... ha ha ha ha ha... But what wasn't funny was trying to explain to a 14yo boy that I wouldn't put any money up for someone who has repeatedly "promised to pay me back" without expressing negative comments.... that was a delicate conversation. |
