Why on earth would she hold onto child support? It's for the child.

BTW, her getting remarried has no effect on child support. And you aren't going to be able to lower it based on her remarriage.

Now, if you are paying alimony and there wasn't a clause in there that it ends upon remarriage, you need to go back to court. And if your attorney isn't getting back to you, find another one. And, yes, you will have to pay a retainer.

And you may not get back the alimony if that is what you are talking about.
