My husband and I got in a terrible fight the other day which isn't unusual. I wanted to leave the marriage. He has been verbally, emotionally and physically abusive. He says the Connecticut Law these days says that in a divorce I will get half of everything that's his - his retirement (which I put nothing into), his truck, the house (which I didn't put anything into). I don't want that. Is this true? Is there any way to tell the judge I don't want that? I won't tell him I've been abused.
