Re: property division/child support

Seven years will get the house sold and the equity split but you'll have to ask for it in your filing. Don't move out of the house until it's sold.

You can go online and get the MA child support worksheet and figure out pretty closely what your obligation will be. It takes a percentage of each parent's income into consideration. Your income will be both jobs but even if you quit one now your wife may be able to get that salary used in the figures anyway. Or maybe not. MA does consider "unjust circumstances" so you might get relief from the second job being included in your wages.

You won't be able to stay on her health insurance after the divorce. The children will remain under her coverage but not you.

Get all your financial papers together and copies of all personal family documents. Try to come to an amicable agreement with your wife about child support and custody/visitation.
