It sounds to me as if he is working hard--maybe too hard--but still "not getting enough hours" to get ahead. If his bank account stays about the same, then would you like for him instead to draw it down to satisfy your wishes for goodies?

Perhaps the fact that you are here, getting advice from idiots to see lawyers, is clear justification for his "not trusting women"!
