My mother is getting divorced from her husband of 17 years. He worked for United for 35 years, and retired a couple of year ago. As a retired employee, he and his spouse are entitled to standby travel, and a number of buddy passes".
Any suggestions on how to handle this. 1 side says she is entitled to a number of buddy passes, about 50%, since he earned them through his employment. another side is that she has enjoyed flight benefits, and no longer does - the value of that lost benefit would entitle her to all of the buddy passes.
