Maricopa County SM guidelines

Do the judges in Maricopa County tend to follow the draft SM guidelines? I was told that there were unofficial guidelines to calc likely SM awards -- barring spouse disability or a special needs child.
The formula is 1.5 * years of marriage * difference in income.
Sound familiar?
I'm trying to be generous above those guidelines, but the Ex is demanding much more. I need to see where I stand. Lawyer won't give any predictions...just doom and gloom scenarios.

They do follow the guidelines. It has nothing to do with the children tho. It is based on both parties income, length of marriage. There is a list of factors that must be met for the judge to order alimony or spousal maintenance (SM).
