How long of a waiting period for divorce
|
|
I have filed for divorce July 1 of 2006, as of yet I still do not have a court date... How long does he have to put this off? I have tried to be easy going about things but its one of those he wants me back but I don't want the same thing and until this is final I don't think he will ever move on and leave it be.

I would guess your paperwork got lost somewhere along the way. The waiting period in Iowa is only 90 days. Do you have an attorney? Sometimes the courts run slow, but you should have had a court date by about a 1/2 year ago.

My divorce took only about 50 days you can wave the 90 days And its final we did not have to go to court.
