In court, we came to agreement on just about everything, parenting time, child support, parenting time, but we stated in court in front of the judge that we had agreed to a distribution of the physical property "but that we would work out the details outside of court". My stbx, claims that she heard me say outside of court that I agreed to accept a big metal desk as part of the property settlement but I had told her on a number of occassions that I would never want that desk. Although what I did agree to was to let her sell anything neither of us wanted and she could keep the profits, and if the disposal costs for anything exceeded the sale of the other items, I would pay for half of the disposal costs. Now her lawyer is threatening to send the order to the court "absent my signature". What the judge specifically said in court was that I had the right to approve the order prior to its submission to the court. Can she do this and if she does what can I do? Please help. I have until Friday. Thanks |
