question about divorce laws

ok, i have another question. i have been trying to read as much as i can about divorce law in the state of WV but i am getting conflicting information. i hope someone can clear this up for me. to file for divorce in WV, do you HAVE to seperate for a year first or can you just go and file without being seperated?

You are suppose to be separated a year, or at least that is what the Courts told me. However. that is for a no fault. If you are hiring an attorney I don't know if he/she can file earlier or not.

a friend of mine filed for divorce in WV. They had only been separated for 6 months. It was a no fault divorce. Divorce was final after only being separated for 9 months. So, no, I don't think it's a necessity.

I just talked to a lawyer named Staface in Morgantown and he said you DO NOT have to be seperated for a year, not even 6 months!!!
