If a divorce needs to be filed by the person who is filing the divorce on fault grounds in Arkansas, can this be done without a lawyer if both parties agreed to all terms? |

Are you sure you want to file without having a lawyer look over the papers first? It doesn't cost a fortune to have someone look over the agreement to make sure it is fair and that all of your interests are covered. I would really urge you to do this, especially if you have children. Otherwise, yes, you can file yourself. |

Hello, If both parties agree to the divorce, its considered "uncontested". You can go through a lawyer if you have the ability/finances to do so. There is a type of document preparation company that a friend of mine used....they completed all the paperwork for her (her divorce was also uncontested) and all she did was bring it to the court & file it! I wish I had known about them! I don't remember the name off the top of my head, but I can get it for you if you'd like? Pamela |

What is this "service" you're talking about? You said a friend of yours used it -- do you have a website address, or any other info about it? My husband and I are in agreement about the divorce, we want it done fast...I would love help with preparing the papers and such because that is not my forte at all. Any info you could give would be appreciated. Thanks, LS |

Lori, This is some site my friend came upon, I guess from a search. They handle only non-contested divorces. She said you fill out some questionnaire thing about the situation, then they prepare the paperwork for you and then you take the papers to your county courthouse to file. They have tons of info on there as well, as far as state laws, steps to follow, etc. Here's what she gave me: http://divorce4her.com/ Hope this helps |
