Alimony???

I am getting ready to file for divorce and I was wondering if anyone knows about Alimony in Nevada. I have been married almost 4 years and I am a stay at home mother. I have had a few jobs in the few years we have been married, but he always has me quit becasue he doesn't like it, would he have to pay child support and Alimony? And how long does it usually take to get the money? And do I have to be legally divorced to recieve it or can I get it prior?

If you get custody, child support will be ordered. You need not be divorced to apply for it. Alimony for a 4 year marriage would be rare. I've seen a few cases were temporary support was ordered for a few months during the divorce process. And, if he had an extremely large income, I've seen it ordered a bit longer. Good luck.
