Getting a new judge
|
|
Ok, so my husband and i have been fighting for custody of me step-daughter for more than seven years. Everytime we go back we get a little bit more than we had before but never what would be better for her. Our judge, Ms. Kent, never seems to really listen, during our evidentary hearing she didnt even view the contents of our different exhibits, and she doesn't even read her own minutes!
She frustrates me very much and just doesn't seem to pay enough attention to the processings of the arguments to judge properly. Last time we went the ex had several warrants and the judge declined to even hear the evidence of the PI that we brought with us! Its okay for ex to do drugs and drive without a license or get beat up.
I'm rambling but ti really upsets me. But to the point or case is closed again and I need to know if there is anyway to get a new judge. Is there some fee or something? Or are we just stuck in her courtroom until the end of time? We are getting ready to go back and I feel like it is almost useless because she wont pay any attention.

Believe me, we have. We even picketed the court house but apparently that is not enough to request a recusal. Next time, I am going to place myself on the ballot that I way I will definitely get out of her courtroom.
