speeding things up

My wife and I filed for divorce in August of last year. A temporary order was signed in January of 2007. That order required me to pay roughly 75% of my net income in support. The judge that is actually handling the divorce says that the amount of support I must pay will go down because the temp order was too high. So, my soon-to-be ex is trying to stall the proceedings because she will lose money when its over. I am representing myself (can't afford an attorney) and need to know if there's a way to speed the hearings up. Our next hearing is not until August.

In the matter of Divorce and Custody ... it is a Divorce, and that both Parents go their seperate ways and share the children. Why should EITHER parent pay child support if they are "Sharing" the children. Two adults agreeing to go their seperate ways means both must support themselves and children. As a custodial father I have very rarely see any financial input from their mother. Because however she refuses to play a positive role in their lives have requested that she start being held responsible for the arrears. Understand this mother is guilty of smoking marajuana with her then 14 yr old son and drinking. I have never forced more child support on her because it was never about the money, it is about the quality of life for our children.
