Hello. I am new to Oregon and am wondering if anyone can answer some questions. I have been looking into a divorce here in OR for a couple of months now and keep seeing the OR residency requirement. I have lived here for over 6 months but my husband just moved here from WA. Does that mean I cannot file in OR? Do I have to file in WA? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks- L

You need to file in Oregon as long as you have lived there at least 6 months , your spouse's residency has nothing to do with it .
