Ex wife has to pay child support. She quit job & told me she refused to work just to pay me. She moved to Texas, state is looking for her now. 2 questions. 1- she told son that lawyer in Texas told her after she was resident for a year she could have new amount set in Texas (Mo. will not lower amt at this time) Can she do that? 2- How long or how much until she is looking at "felony" charge. Right now she's 4 1/2 months and over $3000 behind. If anyone has answers, I'd appreciate it.
Missouri will always have jurisdiction over CS unless you leave the state as well . Forget about a felony charge , failure to pay CS can only result in civil contempt .
