Hi Does anyone know what qualifies you to get alimony?

How long were you married?
did you work during the marriage? How marketable are your skills?

How much do you make compared to how much does he make?
children? Going back to school?

all of these questions count in the equation. Tell your attorney to go for alimony.

Thanks I asked for it. I have skills I have been inquiring about going back to shchool and am going tomorow to see about scheduling classes. My case is about over and I have already been denied alimony because he lied about his secondary employment I just was wandering if I should have fought harder for it.

Walden University is the online school that alot of people I know use. i think they now have some sort of financial aid. If you need to stay home and think you can pace yourself to work at home, I hear it is great.

Let me know what you find out and the decision you make. But, go ahead and do it before you loose the motivation. The busier you stay right now, the better off you will be. Believe me, it is when I am idle that I begin to feel I am losing my footing.....
good luck
